Controversies

Several users on Goodreads have posted reviews ([1], [2], [3]) stating that Amanda Harlowe lifted traumas, characters, and sexual details directly from their lives without their permission. One of them (Izzy) states that there is a long scene in which the main character, who is written 'as' Amanda, graphically assaults a character based off of Izzy and frames it as Izzy's character deserving it.
