Controversies
Many parents did not want their children reading a book where there is a gay character who has a crush on the one of the current protagnists and protaganist of the last series. On the opposite side of the spectrum, you have the queer readers critiquing the way the series' first gay character was revealed. Not only this, but the other diverse characters are basically all done poorly.
